John & Barbara Halbur

"
John and Barbara have been married for 21 years. They have four children
from age 6 to 15, whom they have homeschooled from the beginning. John
is a "prodigal son who returned to his father’s house". After 10 years
as a self-proclaimed agnostic humanist, he and his wife were re-converted
back to the Catholic faith in 1987. They feel divinely called to do everything
possible to promote CCL and NFP and have been promoters for about 12 years.
John is a Mechanical Engineer. Barbara is a Registered Pediatric Nurse
but has been a full-time stay-at-home mom for the last 15 years. They
frequently coordinate and/or assist with children's activities such as
catholic homeschool events, 4-H, youth groups, and camps. They have assisted
with childcare at previous CCL conventions. Together with the Dominicks,
the Halburs are working hard to provide a youth program that will encourage
spiritual growth while having fun in a safe environment. "
