CLERGY DAY CONVENTION 2004
TUESDAY, JUNE 29, 2004

Area Clergy, Deacons, and Religious, are encouraged to attend the Clergy Day which will be held at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. Many clergy will be attending the four days of the CCL Convention, but clergy may choose to attend only the clergy day.

Any priest who comes to the full convention and is willing to help with confessions and concelebrate Mass will have his food and housing paid for by the Convention Committee. A day price for the Clergy Day has yet to be determined.

Schedule Summary

We will start the day out at 9 a.m. listening to world famous
Dr. Janet Smith address the full body of Convention attendees with the address of "The Sexual Mess We are in and How We Got There" Her talk will be followed by a 20 minute break. At that time all Clergy in attendance will move to the Classroom building for more detailed talks.

At 10:10 a.m. Father Randy Moreau will address the Clergy on the important topic of "Marriage Preparation and NFP".

Following Father Moreau, Dr Janet Smith will be back with another dynamic talk "Pope John Paul II - Arguments against Contraception."

Immediately following Dr. Smith's talk, there will be a 12:15 Mass, with lunch to follow with the families. We encourage the Clergy to eat with and spend time with the families in attendance.

At 3:00 p.m., Fr. Tom Koys will speak on "The Centrality & Importance of Sexual Issues". Fr. Tom is the author of the new ground-breaking book "The Ashes That Still Remain."

Next, two Couple to Couple League teaching couples John & Mary DuMont and Rob & Sandy Polocz will each give a personal witness of how NFP has changed their marriages and why they want to share this information with other couples by teaching NFP in their local communities.

Following the witness, there will be time for questions of Father Moreau, Fr. Koys and the witness couples.

At 4:40 p.m., "How Important the CCL Teacher is to their local Pastor" will be presented by Fr Randy Moreau.

We will complete the day by returning to the main Fieldhouse to hear Fr. Randy.
