The Couple to Couple League Convention 2004!
Want a taste of what it is to plan and put on a convention? You don't have to wait for the CCL Convention to come to your area. Join the work and fun of Convention 2004 by becoming a volunteer for the committee of your choice!
Hosting a convention is a tremendous job and we are not shy about asking for your help. The following committees will be needing assistance and you can be the "missing piece" of our puzzle if you are so inclined. You do not have to live in the Chicago area to participate.
Childcare Committee - NOTICE:
DUE TO A WONDERFUL RESPONSE FROM EXCELLENT CHILDCARE VOLUNTEERS, WE ARE
NO LONGER IN NEED FOR MORE HELPERS!
Please consider helping one of the other committees and we thank you!
The CCL Convention Childcare and Youth Program welcomes volunteers to assist in the care of the little ones during the convention! Stipend is paid to anyone helping for full convention. You can volunteer for less hours if you like.

Room Hosts - Purpose: To be a host for the designated speaker for a particular room.
Who can volunteer: Adults or collage age teens
Nature of the Work: Welcome speaker and see to any special needs; Introduce yourself and speaker; operate the tape deck to record talk; keep order in the room; insure workshop starts and stops on time; facilitate question time; reset room for next speaker.
Amount of time: 1 hour 15 minutes
We will need about 27 volunteers.

I can give volunteers the opportunity to choose which workshop they would
like to monitor.
Transportation
The basic duties are:
1) Drive a car/van to/from airport.
2) A driver assistant - a person that will go inside the airport and assist the speakers/attendees with the luggage and lead them to the car/van.
Our drivers need to be at least 21 years of age.
