Sam & Bethany Torode - main speakers - June 28, 2004
"Beyond Catholic Borders"
Sam
and Bethany Torode are freelance writers and graphic designers, living
in rural Wisconsin with their two young sons.
They are authors of Open Embrace: A Protestant Couple Rethinks Contraception. Open Embrace was reviewed widely and featured on Moody Radio's Midday Connection and Family Life Today with Dennis Rainey.
Bethany has also co-written a novel for young adults, I Will Follow, which received a 2003 Writer's Digest award. And Sam is author of the series "The Theology of the Body in Simple Language," which paraphrases the teachings of John Paul II.
They became members of the Orthodox Church in June, 2003, and attend St. Ignatius Orthodox Mission in Madison, Wisconsin.
